From the Artist
The Lindenmeier Site, located on the Soap Stone Prairie north of Wellington, CO, is a historic archeological site where the discovery of Folsum man and lithic artifacts rewrote the history and understanding of early man in North America.
I’ve only recently begun making panorama images. This image was one of the first I made as I began exploring the format in 2017 while visiting the site. It details the Twin Peaks consisting of 14,259 ft Long’s Peak and nearby Mount Meeker.
In the foreground are the foothills of the Fort Collins Front Range, and highlighted in light is Greyrock Mountain, a 7,616-foot mountain summit in the Laramie Mountains, located in Roosevelt National Forest, 1.2 miles north-northeast of the community of Poudre Park, Colorado.
Lindenmeier is my favorite of the panorama photographs I’ve made since 2017. It has only been printed once by me, for me. I’ve only recently made this image available to the public.
