Tillamook Lighthouse, seen from the north beach at Cannon Beach, Oregon, at sunset on March 18, 2023, as the sky began to clear from passing rain clouds earlier in the evening.
Tillamook Rock light began operations on January 21, 1881. The tall white tower is 133 feet above sea level and warned passing mariners to stay clear of the coast as large sea stacks under the water and on the coast posed severe threats to their vessels.
