Hawk Buckman – Images of Nature
Limited Edition (Black & White Film Landscape)

The morning was crushingly cold as I traveled towards Mount Richthofen on HWY 14, west of Fort Collins, Colorado, heading toward Cameron Peak in Jackson County in October of 2017.  Traveling through the Cache la Poudre Canyon at 4:00 am is an otherworldly experience but, I needed to get to my destination if I was going to beat a developing winter storm on the western slope near Walden, Colorado. I knew the storm would form early in the morning, and knew that it would create a dramatic sky that I was hell-bent on capturing.

This image was created with a Nikon F5 35mm film camera with Kodak T-max 100 film f/16. The image is tack sharp and stunning to behold.
