This female black-chinned hummingbird (Archilochus alexandri) is collecting spider silk from the hanging canopy of a ponderosa pine tree in Estes Park, Colorado on May 26, 2020.  I had woken early to catch the morning light and quickly found I was surrounded by hummingbirds of every make and order.  This particular female gave little, if any, thought to my presence and quickly went about her business stopping only to take a few short breaks.
