Description

Cache la Poudre – The Cache la Poudre River as seen from the Big South Trail in August of 2020. The Cache la Poudre is Colorado’s only nationally designated “Wild and Scenic” River. The Poudre has gained recognition of late because 2018 marks the 50th anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Systems. The National Heritage Areas is also celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2018. There are three national Heritage Areas in Colorado, including the Cache La Poudre River Natural Heritage Area.
