If you click the image, then click it once more to enlarge it, you can make out 5 mule deer in the mid-ground in the sage, willow and scrub feeding.  Something very bad happened to me on this day.  It took over 3 years to overcome the trauma of those events, and I’m still working on it.  This image has had a special place in my minds eye and heart. It reminds me that yes, it can be forgotten, overcome, conquered- whatever it is.  Greyrock Mountain is used as a training area for climbers who attempt 13 and 14’ers like Longs Peak near Estes Park.  The mountain is a testament to courage, endurance and commitment.  It holds that for me as well in this sunrise image.
