I spent the day in northwestern Colorado near Cameron Peak in August of 2020 four days before the fires broke out.  I went to Lake Agnes and made many images of the surrounding area taking a break from city life.  After a full day of exploration I headed back to my vehicle as the sun began to set on the western horizon.  I made my way down the mountain on the narrow road that leads to the parking area of the lake and arriving at the bottom looked to the left and saw this image.  The green of the lichen that covered the rocks that make up the crags was prominent.  I snapped two images out the window of my truck, put my camera in the front seat and headed back to Laporte, Colorado.
