My wife and I headed out on an adventure to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park early one morning in September of 2017 to spend the day together.
We had never traveled up Old Fall River Road and decided to go the back-way to the top of the pass. About half way up it began to snow as clouds moved over the peaks.
We stopped as we rounded a switchback and took in the view. I grabbed my camera and made this one image and we continued up the mountains only to be turned around half way to the top because snow and ice had blocked the pass on the other side of the park preventing us from returning back to Fort Collins from that direction.
